Ms. Kritika Mehra

Assistant Professor of Spanish with around three years of experience in Spanish language teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and student mentoring. I hold an M.A. in Spanish and have experience teaching, developing language-learning materials, conducting oral and written assessments, and preparing learners for DELE examinations. My teaching philosophy emphasis communicative competence, active learning, intercultural awareness, and the practical application of Spanish beyond the classroom. My research interests lie in Hispanic studies, language pedagogy, intercultural and cultural studies, with a particular interest in the culinary and cultural dimensions of colonial encounters in Latin America. At the university level, I seek to integrate Spanish with interdisciplinary and professional contexts, enabling students to develop linguistic, cultural, and global competencies relevant to their academic and career aspirations.
