Dr. Nancy Kumari

Dr. Nancy Kumari is an Assistant Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), Delhi–NCR, and has completed Post- Doctoral research at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, under sponsorship from NSCS, Gov. of India. Her areas of expertise include Computational Intelligence, Soft Computing, Machine Learning, Data Science, and AI-driven Health Informatics. Dr. Kumari obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from VIT Vellore in 2023, M.Tech. from Galgotias University in 2019, and B.Tech. from the Women’s Institute of Technology in 2017. Her research focuses on intelligent decision-support systems, predictive modelling in healthcare, computational intelligence, and interdisciplinary applications of artificial intelligence. She has published five non-paid, SCI-indexed journal articles (including 2 Q1 journals), 8 international conference papers, and 6 book chapters. She has additionally contributed as editor of 2 academic books and authored the book Data Science and Analytics, published by Nova Science Publishers. She has filed 6 Indian patents, of which 2 have been granted. Dr. Kumari has served as a Principal Investigator (PI) for a university research seed grant and is currently associated as an H-Investigator in an ANRF-sponsored national research project. In 2025, she contributed as a research contributor to the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) – Deep Ocean Mission project titled “Deep-Sea Chondrichthyans of India”, implemented through the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Chennai. She actively contributes to the academic community through leadership and scholarly service, including roles as Session Chair and Publication Chair at international conferences and as a peer reviewer for reputed journals in IEEE Transactions and Springer. She has also organised national-level hackathons and research bootcamps. Her professional credentials include certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and NPTEL Machine Learning (IIT Madras).
