Dr. Pallavi Jain

Dr. Pallavi Jain is currently serving as the Head of the Student Welfare Department at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, and have around 20 years of teaching and academic experience. Over the years, her professional journey has been a blend of teaching, research, academic leadership, and student development. Her research primarily focuses on transition metal complexes incorporating Schiff base ligands, with particular emphasis on their biological significance and potential applications in drug delivery. She is also actively involved in the synthesis and applications of Deep Eutectic Solvents, an emerging area with considerable potential in sustainable chemistry. She has contributed to the academic research community through more than 85 research publications, over 70 book chapters, and five edited book. Her teaching philosophy is centred on the belief that education should go beyond the transmission of knowledge—it should inspire curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and lifelong learning. She strive to create a classroom environment where students feel encouraged to question, explore, experiment, and connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. She believes every student has unique potential, and the role of a teacher is not merely to teach a subject but to mentor, motivate, and empower students to discover their strengths and become responsible professionals and individuals.
