About & Biography

Dr. Santosh Kumar Rai is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. His research interests encompass thermal engineering, computational fluid dynamics, nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics, supercritical natural circulation systems, Microchannel heat transfer, artificial intelligence and machine learning, additive manufacturing/3D printing, and biomedical devices. His research integrates computational modelling, experimental investigation, optimization, and data-driven approaches to develop advanced and sustainable engineering systems. His teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual understanding, practical application, computational learning, and research-oriented education, encouraging students to connect fundamental engineering principles with emerging technologies and real-world challenges.
