Dr. Kumi Rani

I am Kumi Rani, working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Modinagar, Ghaziabad. I have six years of academic experience, having previously served as an Assistant Professor at Sharda University. I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and an M.Tech. in Computer Applications from IIT Delhi. My research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision, with a particular emphasis on medical image analysis and healthcare applications. My research focuses on developing intelligent computational techniques for automated feature extraction, image classification, and detection to address real-world challenges. My teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving. I aim to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent learning. By integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on projects and real-world applications, I strive to equip students with the technical expertise, research skills, and lifelong learning mindset needed to excel in the evolving field of computer science.
