Dr. Ajeet Chandra received his Ph.D. in Chemistry, specializing in organic chemistry, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, where his doctoral research focused on oxidative transformations using hypervalent iodine(V) reagents and Oxone. He began his doctoral research at IIT Delhi before completing his Ph.D. at IIT Kanpur. After his doctoral studies, he joined IIT Bombay as an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, where he focused on sulfonylphthalides, asymmetric catalysis, and the synthesis of biologically relevant organic molecules. He subsequently served as a Research Professor in the Department of Information Display at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, where he investigated advanced organic functional materials, particularly multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) emitters and BODIPY-based materials for next-generation organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technologies. Currently, Dr. Chandra is appointed as an Assistant Professor(Research) in the Department of Chemistry at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), Delhi-NCR Campus, Uttar Pradesh, India. His interdisciplinary research interests span synthetic methodologies, hypervalent reagent chemistry, natural products, organic functional materials, OLED emitters, and advanced luminescent materials for optoelectronic and display applications. His research integrates innovative organic synthesis with functional materials development to advance the design of next-generation organic electronic devices and explore their practical applications. Dr. Chandra gratefully acknowledges the invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support of his research advisors and mentors, whose contributions have significantly shaped his academic journey and research career.
