The live demonstration sessions on "Analog IC Design Flow and Analysis using Cadence Virtuoso Tool" were completed successfully as per the scheduled programme. The demonstrations covered the complete analog IC design flow, including schematic entry, pre-layout simulations, performance analysis, layout design, and post-layout verification using the Cadence Virtuoso platform. Active participation and hands-on involvement of faculty members ensured effective knowledge transfer and outcome-based learning, enhancing faculty competency in delivering practice-oriented instruction. Aligning with industry standards and quality enhancement initiatives, the acquired knowledge supports curriculum enrichment through incorporation of contemporary VLSI tools and practical design methodologies.
Expert Talk on India's Rising Semiconductor Ecosystem: Opportunities and Challenges

The expert talk sessions were delivered on "Future Trends and Internship Opportunities in VLSI and VLSI Careers: Design, Testing, Optimization, and its Scope". The first session included current trends in the Indian semiconductor industry, next-generation computing paradigms (beyond traditional CMOS), and an overview of SoC design. The second session focused on the verification process of designed chips in industry, detailing specifications through to GDS II tape-out. Practical career roadmap strategies were shared with students followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Industrial Visit to M/s Sphere Com Services Pvt. Ltd, Dwarka, New Delhi

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an industrial visit to Sphere Com Services Pvt. Ltd. to provide practical exposure to ECE and ECE-Data Science students regarding modern telecommunication technologies and professional wireless communication systems used in industries.

Hands-on Training for Analog and Digital Chip Design
Date: 16th to 17th February 2026
The Department of ECE conducted a two-day Hands-on Training on Analog & Digital Chip Design in the VLSI Lab. The training covered schematic design, transistor sizing, DC and transient simulation, layout design, Design Rule Check (DRC), and Layout versus Schematic (LVS) verification using Cadence Virtuoso. Students designed and analyzed CMOS inverters, logic gates, and analog operational amplifiers, evaluating propagation delay, power dissipation, noise margins, and gain.
Industrial Visit to Bodhan AI Launch Event, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

ECE and ECE-Data Science students participated in an educational visit to the launch of Bodhan AI at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event featured keynote speeches, live AI-driven technology demonstrations, and technical sessions on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Edge AI, predictive analytics, and ethical AI governance.
Skill Development Program on Analog IC Design Flow and Analysis using Cadence Virtuoso Tool

Memorandum of Understanding between SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus and NSIC-Technical Services Centre (MSME, Govt. of India)

SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus entered into a strategic MoU with NSIC-TSC, Okhla New Delhi. NSIC-TSC is engaged in imparting industry-centric skill development and training for entrepreneurship, along with testing services through NABL accredited laboratories. The collaboration facilitates specialized technical training for ECE and allied engineering students.
Three-Day Workshop on Creating Webservers & Dashboards to Interface IoT Devices

Organized in collaboration with EmCog Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, this 3-day workshop trained students in building IoT webservers, sensor data processing, cloud telemetry uploading, and interactive dashboard creation for real-time monitoring applications.
