The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at SRMIST, NCR campus was founded in 2005 to help grow the skills and capability of our students in core Electronics and Communication Engineering subjects. The strength of our knowledge dissemination is our faculty that comprises such individuals who have vast research expertise of at least a decade.

The science-based industry-focused curriculum followed at our department focuses primarily on providing students with the necessary technical knowledge, promoting students' problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The Department also offers a large number of elective courses to their student that provides them with a wide range of options as per their subject of interest.

Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Electronics is highly innovative and rapidly evolving field. The increasing use of electronic devices and the growth of ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Embedded Systems’ have created a need for skilled electronics engineers who can design and develop new products and systems.

Ever since its inception, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research has made the department a pioneer and a path-setter in the field of electronics engineering.

The department emphasizes to train our students with cutting edge technology and advanced tools. State of art laboratories and highly qualified and dedicated faculty members with expertise in the field of VLSI, IoT, Embedded Systems, Quantum Computing, Optical Communications, Microwave and signal Processing etc. provide a strong scientific and technical foundation and encourage students to develop creativity in designing problems and seeking solutions. Regular up gradation of curricula and syllabi ensures the scholastic development of students. To make our students acquainted with the latest technologies and industry needs, we regularly organize the expert lectures, workshops, conferences, industrial visits and collaborative activities.

The Foundation has set an exemplary record in engineering placements with its students being chosen by industry leaders, year after year. Our students are placed in top notch multinational companies in software as well as core hardware domains. Some of them are serving our nation through public and defense sectors. Through its constant focus on innovation, hard work and determination, the department has firmly established itself as a front runner in capacity building for the scientific community.
