About & Biography

I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the department of Language, Culture and Society (LCS) at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus, where I have been associated with the institution for the past 16 years, serving in various academic and administrative capacities. Over the years, my journey at SRM has provided me with extensive experience in teaching, academic administration, faculty coordination, research, and institutional responsibilities. Within the department I had served in several significant capacities, including Head In-Charge, Head of the Department, and DRCC Chairperson. These leadership roles had strengthened my abilities in academic planning, team management and faculty development. My academic foundation had been developed at the University of Allahabad, a Central University, where I completed my Graduation, Post-Graduation, and Ph.D. I have actively participated in and contributed to national and international academic conferences and scholarly forums. I have had the opportunity to serve as a Session Chair at several international conferences held in countries such as Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and other international academic destinations. These experiences have provided me with valuable opportunities to interact with scholars from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. My primary research interests lie in English Literature, Diaspora Studies, Postcolonial Literature, Cultural Studies, Literary and Cultural Identity, Migration and Displacement, and Contemporary Literary Studies. I have contributed to scholarly research through publications in Scopus journals,Web of Science journals and peer-reviewed journals. My teaching philosophy is fundamentally student-centred, inclusive, interactive, and research-oriented. I believe that education should go beyond the completion of a syllabus. The purpose of higher education is to develop critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, communication skills, creativity, confidence, ethical awareness, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations. my approach is to create an environment that is inclusive, supportive, respectful, and academically stimulating. I believe that a teacher's responsibility is not only to identify academically strong students but also to motivate those who may lack confidence or require additional academic support.
