Welcome to the Department of Language, Culture and Society (LCS)!
As a center of academic excellence, our department, Language, Culture and Society, is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of languages, cultures, and societies, fostering intellectual expertise, intercultural understanding, and global engagement. We believe that language is not merely a means of communication but also a powerful expression of identity, heritage, and human values.
Our department is committed to academic excellence through innovative teaching, quality research, and meaningful community engagement. We encourage critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and multidisciplinary approaches that prepare our students to become responsible global citizens and effective communicators.
The Department offers the knowledge of various languages as English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese, enabling students to acquire advanced linguistic competence alongside a profound understanding of the market-oriented processional communication and presentation skills. In an era marked by globalization and international collaboration, proficiency in world languages has become an invaluable asset, opening pathways to higher education, research, diplomacy, international business, translation and interpretation, tourism, media, and cultural exchange.
With a team of dedicated faculty members, enriched curricula, and a learner-centered environment, we strive to nurture intellectual curiosity, creativity, and ethical values. We also promote research and collaborations that contribute to preserving cultural heritage while addressing contemporary social and linguistic challenges.
