Programme Overview
B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with Specialisation in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at SRM is a 4-year (8-semester) full-time advanced, futuristic, and industry-resilient programme. The curriculum combines AI and ML techniques with core computer science concepts, covering intelligent computation including design and analysis of algorithms, computer programming languages, software design, and computer hardware.
The specialisation helps students develop smart, autonomous machines through a combination of AI and Data Science technologies. Pedagogy and research are blended into the teaching-learning paradigm, and the curriculum is updated according to industry standards, also covering data mining, pattern recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and neural networks.
Eligibility
Educational Requirement:
- Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination from an accredited board.

Why SRM for B.Tech in CSE with Specialisation in AI and ML?
- Industry-focused: Faculty in this specialisation carry doctorates from institutions like the IITs and other research-focused centres. Students go beyond textbook theory and work on published work and real case studies.
- Strong focus on practical learning: Students take part in hackathons, AI competitions, and live projects from very early in the programme, putting their ideas and learning into practice.
- Interdisciplinary exposure: Students work on problems drawn from healthcare, fintech, media, and sustainability, such as understanding a medical scan versus a fraud transaction versus a satellite image.
- Access to advanced tools: Students learn the latest AI tools and frameworks that software companies are deploying.
- Emphasis on innovation: As AI algorithms, tools, and frameworks change, so do our labs. Lab facilities let students work on their projects, apply theory to real-world projects, and experiment with their research.
