Programme Overview
B.Tech CSE with specialisation in Data Science is a 4-year (8-semester) full-time undergraduate programme focused on the study of data analytics, core computer science and data-driven decision-making. The programme covers areas such as machine learning, big data technologies, data visualisation, and statistical analysis, along with both the theoretical and practical implementation of data science methodology.
At SRM in Delhi NCR, students work on live projects, internships, and case studies to gain hands-on experience.
Eligibility
Educational Requirement:
- To get admission at SRM for B.Tech in CSE with specialisation in Data Science, candidates should have successfully passed with an aggregate of 60% marks in 10+2 or an equivalent examination from an accredited board.
- Applicants applying must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
Entrance Examination:
- Candidates must also qualify for the JEE Main to take admission directly. If not appeared for this entrance test, applicants can give the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE), score qualifying marks and get admission.
Admission Criteria
Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) in the current academic year from a recognized board in India (including CBSE, CISCE/ISC, IB, or NIOS).
They must have secured:
- A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination; and
- A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the following three subjects:
- Physics ( mandatory)
- Mathematics (mandatory)
- Any one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, or Engineering Graphics.
