Our Department of Civil Engineering strives for excellence in teaching and learning and professional development. We are proud to have state-of-the-art laboratories and dedicated academic and technical staff to support our academic program. Our department and its experienced staff offer practice related education, preparing our students for a successful and rewarding career. Civil Engineers are among the most fortunate of Men since they build their own monuments with public consent, public approval and often public money.
Our department faculties maintain strong links with the construction industry by engaging in Consultancy and Research & Development (R&D) activities. Students here are encouraged to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities which are essential for personality development, nurturing of team spirit and development of organizational skills.
Our graduates are exceptionally well prepared for challenging careers, handling major projects and being on the fast track towards new heights in their careers. Our vision is to develop constructive thinking and analytical capabilities amongst students. Our department is committed to provide students with strong fundamental engineering education and prepare the students for career in the industry, teaching and national laboratories.
