Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) is a swiftly advancing field where new ideas emerge every other second. From mobile phones to fibre optics and remote sensing, there are exciting avenues to explore and create.

The ECE department at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) prepares students for suitable careers in this constantly evolving discipline. Careers

Research & consultancy

The Department has strong research programmes leading to Ph.D. degree in all the areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering. A large number of Ph.D. scholars are currently engaged in cutting edge research in the Department. Department is involved in high quality research on several domains like Optical Integrated Circuits, Signal Processing and Communication, Semiconductor Device Characterization and Integration, Advanced Microwave Techniques and other emerging fields in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Careers

The ECE Department prepares students to pursue leadership, technical, and management positions in a variety of industries. Students have obtained placements at leading companies such as Intel, Texas Instruments, Infosys, TCS, Keane, Mindtree, Wipro, Cognizant Technologies and Tata Elxsi. Some are pursuing their higher studies in prestigious institutions in India and abroad.
