Value-based Education for a Humane Society
The International Conference on Human Values in Higher Education (ICHVHE) is an annual gathering
that brings together education policymakers, academic leaders, and champions of value-based learning.
Since 2012, ICHVHE has been dedicated to exploring how human values can be integrated into education to nurture a
humane society and promote well-being for all. Naturally aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
the conference underscores the importance of holistic education for sustainable development.
The 9th edition in 2024 welcomed more than 4,800 participants from 35 countries. Hosted virtually by SRMIST,
Chennai, and supported by 21 organizing partners, it was centered on the theme: “Value-based Education for
Humane Society (including SDGs).”
The theme of this 10th edition is “Empowering Youth through Value-driven Education – for a
Happy and Peaceful World”
It will feature panel discussions in three key areas:
- Higher Education
- Holistic Human Health
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Additionally, it will include seminar sessions on:
- School Education
- Counselling
Endorsed by AICTE and UGC, the UHV initiative has oriented over 90,000 faculty and reached 4,000+ institutions
across 240 universities with encouraging results.
