A workshop on ‘Communication Skills’ had been conducted on 28 th February 2025 from 10am-01 pm at Mahadev Lal Schroff Auditorium in Pharmacy Block. The event had been organized by the Department of English and Foreign Languages, SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus and aimed to enhance the participants' ability to communicate effectively in personal and professional settings. The workshop saw active participation from a large number of attendees, including students from the Pharmacy department. The primary objectives of the workshop were to improve verbal and non-verbal communication skills, to build confidence in public speaking and presentations, and to enhance interpersonal communication in team settings. The key topics discussed were structuring a speech, voice modulation, body language, and audience engagement, and strategies for successful presentation.The key topics discussed were applying communication skills in real-life scenarios, including interviews and workplace settings enhancing interpersonal communication in team settings, teaching effective listening skills and constructive feedback on writing. The workshop on Communication Skills proved to be a valuable learning experience for all attendees. It not only enhanced their ability to communicate effectively but also built their confidence in various settings.

The department of English and Foreign Languages took an exemplary initiative to organize a seven-day workshop from 10th December 2024 to 16th December 2024 on the topic “Enhancement of Multidisciplinary Skills for Professional Sustainability”. The inaugural ceremony started with lamp lighting and thereafter one by one our Dean R.P Mahapatra, Dean Science and Humanities Navin Ahlawat, Dean FMS Dr N. M. Mishra and HOD EFL Dr Madhurima Srivastava with members of EFL addressed the session. Dean Science and Humanities, Dr. Navin Ahlawat, talked about sustainability and the importance of staying up to date with the changing demands of the time.

Dean Dr. R.P Mahapatra opined that communication skills are very important for securing good job opportunities. He encouraged the non-teaching staff to enthusiastically participate in such programmes and even encouraged the EFL Department to conduct more such workshops in the future. Dean FMS N.M. Mishra arranged a fun activity and encouraged everyone.

The final address to the audience was given by HOD EFL Dr. Madhurima Srivastava. She thanked all the dignitaries for arriving, and all the participants for showing enthusiasm and faith in the workshop. She then emphasised the significance of the non-teaching staff for the functioning of any institute and inspired everyone to learn as much as possible from the workshop.

Department of English and Foreign Languages- EFL, SRMIST, DELHI-NCR CAMPUS in collaboration with AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL) organiged an online workshop.

This workshop is aimed to enhance Digital Creativity Skills for faculty members to further equip students for employability skills for future jobs.

The workshop was a hands-on workshop. Being a hands-on workshop, the faculty was encouraged on creating a project. The project was submitted at the end of the workshop through a submission form that was shared.This hands-on training at SRMIST – Delhi NCR allowed teachers to practice their skills with the software. Educators were keen on learning about tutorials and resources to help teachers and students understand more advanced concepts and use the Adobe Express Tool with greater efficiency. The training focuses on helping teachers create visually appealing and professional looking materials for their classrooms and it was an interactive session

On April 18, 2023, Department of English and Foreign Languages hosted a captivating event at the Pharmacy Block Auditorium. Two day Workshop on ‘Art of Communication’ was organized by the Department of English and Foreign Languages (EFL), SRM IST, Delhi NCR Campus, Modinagar on 23rd and 25th August 2023. Grammar rules and Four Macro Skills of English language were discussed by the expert with hands on practice.
