WINE TASTING WORKSHOP

The SRM Institute of Hotel Management held an offline, one-day workshop on the topic of "Wine Tasting" on December 23, 2022, at the institute's auditorium. The workshop's goal was to observe the wine's flavour and mouth feel. By using the 5 S's (see, swirl, sniff, sip, and savor), when taking wine tasting notes, you'll want to first focus on the primary aromas. These are the most critical smells you will notice while smelling and tasting the wine. These are often the aromas associated with the grape variety used to make the wine. The most common primary aromas are fruity, floral, and spicy. Over 100 hotel management students and faculty members from the college participated in the workshop. The keynote speaker in the workshop was Ms. Heena Riat, Brand Ambassador and Senior Manager, Testing and Marketing (SULA VINYARDS, Nasik, Maharashtra).

SKILL DEVELOPMENT FROM CAMPUS TO CORPORATE WORKSHOP

At college, you get equipped to face the corporate world. You are given all the necessary skills to make your mark. However, there are loads of things that you need to keep in mind before you transition from college to the corporate world.

To help you with this transition, SRM Institute of Catering Technology and Hotel Management organize two days an exclusive workshop on skill development' From Campus To Corporate' on 2nd and 3rd March 2022. The guest speaker was Mr. Sandeep Sinha, Director of Rooms, The Westin, Gurugram.
