An industry expert lecture on “Advanced Forging Technologies” has been organized by the department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering for their students. The expert speaker for this session was Dr. Jayant Thakare, Scientist (Nanotech) Bharat Forge Ltd, Bengaluru. The session was started from 10:00 AM in online mode on GoogleMeet. The speaker was introduced and welcomed by Dr. Gyander Ghangas. Then Dr. Thakare enlightened the students about the different technologies for forging. Different parameter affects the forged products quality. He also provided the knowledge about recent developments in the area for forging. At the end of the program the token of thanks was given by Dr. Gyanendra Bagri (HOD) to the speaker of the session. The students of Mechanical and Automobile Engg were present to attend the lecture.

As traditional education focuses too much on what the teachers teach as input rather than what the students learn as the outcome, OBE emphasizes a learner-centric self-learning approach. Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a student-centric teaching and learning methodology in which the course delivery and assessment are planned to achieve stated objectives and outcomes.
In regards to above-cited concern, an Online Expert lecture was planned by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 28/01/2023. Dr. Suresh Verma was the resource person for the same. He was welcomed by Dr. NeerajGahlot (HOD, Mechanical) for the session. Dr. Verma enlightened the audience about the objectives, process, calculations and target achievements for OBE. Dr. Verma discussed the roused doubts of the audience. At the end of the session vote of thanks was presented by Dr. VikasGoyat.

An industry expert lecture on “Conversion of a vehicle to electric vehicle” has been organized by the department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering for their students. The expert speaker for this session was Mr. Rahul Raj Sareen from Shanti Automobiles, Gurugram. The session was started from 10:15 AM in online mode on GoogleMeet. The speaker was introduced and welcomed by Dr. Gyander Ghangas. Then Mr. Rahul Sareen provided the information about the current scenario of electric vehicles (EV) and types of EVs available in India. He also made aware the students for the types of conversions and the processes for the same. Mr. Sareen told about the challenges involved in the EV conversion and facilities available in India for the same. At the end of the program the token of thanks was given by Dr. Ankit Sonthalia (HOD) to the speaker of the session. The students of Mechanical and Automobile Engg were present to attend the lecture.

An Alumni Talk event was organized on 27th April 2022 at 3:30 PM by Alumni Chapter, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The objective of this event was Career perspectives in the Analytics and Strategy consulting.
Mr. Soumya Chatterjee was the key speaker at this event. He is currentlyleading the Analytics and Strategy consulting for Pharma vertical in IPSOS MMA, based out of New York, US. He has Experience in Strategy and consulting space across Europe, Americas and Latin -America Asia Pacific Regions. Mr. Soumya share his experience of Analytics Industry and give Tips to students how they can make carrier in Analytics Industry.
Soumya was a meritorious student of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He was the topper of 2014 Batch. During his engineering, he has undergone training imparted by TATA Steel and Praxair. His final year project was based on Striling engine design. He was an active member of SAE and IMechE and Coordinated various technical event.
