On 3rd November The Department of Culture, Language and Society celebrated Constitution Day for B. Tech First Year Students of SRMIST Delhi NCR Campus, under the guidance of Director S. Viswanathan, Dean, Dean IQAC, Dean S&H, Dean FMS and Dr. Madhurima Srivastava the Head of The LCS Department. The eminent Guest Speaker Dr. D.P. Verma, Member of Law Commission of India New Delhi, joined the students of SRMIST Delhi Campus to celebrate the Constitution Day. The distinguished guest said that law governs the system and regulates the system. The concept of society is based on Laws. The Constitution has ushered the system and established the concept of fundamental rights, responsibilities, fundamental directives, emergency provision. The Constitution parted the body of government into three mechanisms: executive, judiciary and legislatives. The concepts of municipalities, judiciary, Republic, secular, socialist and sovereign were established under the laws of the Constitution. The constitution enables a person to know the boundaries of rights. The citizens can knock on the door of the court to save their rights. The session was highly interactive and thoughtful.
